Shuyan Zhou is a physics student working under the mentorship of Professor Pengfei Zhang and studying within the group of Professor Hui Zhai, with a research focus in ultracold atom physics and quantum information. Shuyan's initial academic background was grounded in high-energy physics, exploring theoretical topics such as the Page curve and hydrodynamics. Her recent research interests sit at the intersection of quantum mechanics, general relativity, and atomic physics—exploring phenomena such as wormhole teleportation and utilizing ultracold atoms as a platform to investigate quantum information and entanglement. She is participating in the summer school on ultracold atom physics in Hong Kong to further advance her knowledge through rigorous coursework and collaborative research experiences.
