Haowei Li is a fourth-year PhD student at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), where he also earned a bachelor of Natural Science in Physics in 2020. Continuing his studies at USTC under the supervision of Professor Wei Yi, Haowei's graduate research focuses on cold atomic theory. To date, he has completed 11 works, primarily published in Physical Review Letters, Physical Review Research, and Physical Review A. His research covers the topology, skin effect, and dynamical behavior of open systems—including optical lattices, dissipative Bose–Einstein condensates (BEC), and cavity-atomic hybrid systems—as well as Bose systems featuring spin-orbit-coupled (SOC) spinor BECs and liquid-gas phase transitions in Bose mixtures. Haowei's recent work explores quantum stochastic resonance in Rydberg gases, with ongoing research interests focused on the theory of interacting quantum systems and novel behaviors in quantum gases.
