Learn how emerging photovoltaic technologies could accelerate the transition to sustainable, scalable solar energy – through advances in materials, device physics, stability, and manufacturing.
This Croucher Advanced Study Institute (ASI) aims to foster scholarly exchange on emerging photovoltaic (PV) technologies, including advanced perovskites, organic photovoltaics, and quantum dot solar cells. Key themes include charge dynamics, materials optimisation, device stability, novel fabrication methods, and scalable integration strategies.
Through interdisciplinary discussions among international experts, the course will critically address theoretical foundations, practical challenges, and socio-economic considerations – helping to guide future research directions and support the adoption of next-generation photovoltaics in sustainable energy infrastructures.
