Yu Cheng (鄭諭)
University of Hong Kong
Yu Cheng is a final-year PhD student at the University of Hong Kong, working under the supervision of Professor Jack Wong. Professor Wong’s lab focuses on dissecting epigenetic and epitranscriptomic alterations in hepatocellular carcinoma. Yu's PhD research centers on pseudouridine, a highly abundant RNA modification, where he characterizes its landscape in hepatocellular carcinoma and explores its functions in regulating RNA fate. Enthusiastic about RNA modifications, Yu has also participated in studies of other modifications, such as m6A. His research interests extend beyond RNA modifications to encompass other areas of RNA biology, including noncoding RNAs, RNA in chromatin regulation, and RNA sensing.
