Tsz Kwan Lam
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Tsz Kwan is an MPhil student in Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, with a broad interest in how genome instability impacts cellular function and health. Her research focuses on understanding how DNA damage and changes in nuclear organization can activate immune responses, particularly in the context of neurological conditions. Utilizing molecular and genomic tools, Tsz Kwan explores how disruptions in genome regulation lead to inflammation and other stress responses. She is especially drawn to interdisciplinary approaches that connect genome biology, epigenetics, and disease. Through her research, Tsz Kwan aims to deepen our understanding of how cells maintain genome integrity and how its failure can drive pathology.
