Toyotaka Ishibashi

Toyotaka Ishibashi is an Associate Professor in the Division of Life Science at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on the functional roles of histone variants, employing a range of experimental approaches to investigate their influence on gene expression and chromatin dynamics. He has a particular interest in epigenetic regulation, especially its role in cellular differentiation and development. In addition, he studies transposons and their impact on genome stability and evolutionary processes. He looks forward to attending talks on epigenetics and related topics, aiming to enrich his understanding and gain insights that will further advance his research.
