Tianjiao Fan (樊天娇)
Fudan University
Tianjiao has been serving as a Research Assistant at Fudan University since earning her PhD in 2021. Her research focuses on endogenous retroviruses (ERVs) and transposable elements (TEs) in relation to HIV-1 pathogenesis and cancer development. She aims to decipher the epigenetic regulation of these elements to uncover novel therapeutic targets and disease biomarkers. In addition to leading independent research projects with secured funding, Tianjiao actively supports laboratory operations by designing experiments, mentoring students, and contributing to grant applications. She has collaborated on multiple national-level research initiatives and published in high-impact journals, including the Journal of Virology. By integrating molecular biology and bioinformatics approaches, her research seeks to bridge fundamental virology with translational applications in infectious diseases and oncology.
