Qidong Li (李啟東)

Qidong Li is a final-year PhD student at the University of Hong Kong, working in the Department of Pathology under the supervision of Professor Jack Wong. His research focuses on the epigenetics and chromatin structure of hepatocellular carcinoma. His interests include transdifferentiation during liver regeneration, dedifferentiation in liver cancer development, epigenetics, 3D genomics, chromatin biology, single-cell multiomics, and spatial multiomics. Under Professor Jack Wong's guidance, Qidong is receiving dual training in both wet and dry lab techniques. In the future, he aspires to become a genomics researcher, contributing to the clinical translation of genomic medicine, especially with the rise of single-cell and spatial omics.
