Minghao Jiang
University of Hong Kong
Minghao Jiang is a second-year PhD student at University of Hong Kong majoring in bioinformatics. His research currently focuses on two main topics: identifying novel structural variants to classify patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) using long-read sequencing, and exploring the mechanisms of distinct mutational signatures in B-ALL. He is supervised by Professor Jason Wong.
Before joining HKU, Minghao obtained his bachelor of science degree in bioinformatics from Harbin Medical University in 2019. He then pursued a master of science degree in biology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, graduating in 2022. His master's research involved deciphering the mechanisms of leukemogenesis across various subtypes, including IGH::DUX4 and MEF2D fusions.
