Minghao Jiang

Minghao Jiang is a second-year PhD student at the School of Biomedical Sciences, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong, majoring in Bioinformatics. His research currently focuses on two main topics: identifying novel structural variants to classify patients with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) using long-read sequencing, and exploring the mechanisms of distinct mutational signatures in B-ALL. He is supervised by Professor Jason Wong. Before joining HKU, Minghao obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Bioinformatics from Harbin Medical University in 2019. He then pursued a Master of Science degree in Biology at the Shanghai Institute of Hematology, Ruijin Hospital, School of Medicine, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, graduating in 2022. His master's research involved deciphering the mechanisms of leukemogenesis across various subtypes, including IGH::DUX4 and MEF2D fusions.
