Life Sciences Institute at the University of British Columbia (UBC)
Martin is a graduate student at the Life Sciences Institute at the University of British Columbia, where he joined the Department of Medical Genetics in 2021. He holds an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Biology from UBC. Martin is currently working in the Lorincz Lab, where his research centres on the interplay between chromatin modifications and DNA methylation, particularly how these molecular mechanisms coordinate to regulate gene expression during early embryonic development. His academic interests include epigenetics, developmental biology, and the broader implications of gene regulation in health and disease. Martin is passionate about advancing understanding in these areas and values opportunities to collaborate with fellow researchers.
