Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Gao Lin is a research associate in Professor Danny Leung's lab at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. She obtained my PhD degree under the supervision of Professor Danny Leung in 2024. Her research focuses on the roles of retrotransposons in human placental development and disorders. Specifically, She studies the transcriptional regulatory role of retrotransposons in placental disorder preeclampsia and viral infection by SARS-CoV-2, using single-cell and bulk multi-omic approaches. She also uses human trophoblast stem cells to model placental development in vitro and investigate the role of retrotransposons in regulating the 3D genome organization during trophoblast differentiation.
