Xiang Li (李想)
Tsinghua University
Xiang is a doctoral student in the Liu Nian research group at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University, hailing from Changsha, Hunan Province. Previously, he led a project utilizing Tn-seq (transposon insertion sequencing) technology to identify key genes that control the entry of Staphylococcus aureus into the VBNC (Viable but Non-Culturable) state. This involved constructing a saturated insertion library of transposons by randomly inserting them into the genome to pinpoint crucial genes related to the VBNC state. Currently, Xiang continues to focus on transposons and is engaged in research related to their roles in various biological contexts during his doctoral studies.
