Lei is a researcher at the Reproductive Center of Shanghai East Hospital of Tongji University. He earned his M.D. from Tongji University, School of Medicine, in 2021. During his doctoral studies, he was selected for the China Scholarship Council (CSC) program and conducted joint research in Professor Chuan He's laboratory at the University of Chicago, where he gained expertise in cutting-edge epigenetics and RNA modification technologies. Lei's current research focuses on the mechanisms of epigenetic reprogramming during early mouse embryonic development and the molecular regulation of chromatin structure and gene transcription by RNA m6A modification. His studies aim to uncover fundamental biological principles with potential applications in reproductive medicine. As the first author, he has published in prestigious journals including Science, Nature Cell Biology, and JACS.
