Juwon Kang
The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Juwon obtained his BSc in Biotechnology from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2023, where his exposure to epigenetics sparked a strong interest in the field. Now an MPhil student in Life Science at HKUST, he is keenly interested in the molecular mechanisms of chromatin dynamics in cancer. His research focuses on the functional role of the SETDB1 protein and its impact on heterochromatin dynamics and 3D genome organization. By integrating epigenetic assays and bioinformatic analyses, Juwon aims to address these complex questions. He looks forward to engaging with the scientific community to further explore these insights.
