Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Juwon Kang obtained his bachelor of science in biotechnology from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2023, where his exposure to epigenetics sparked a strong interest in the field. Now a master of philosophy student in life science at HKUST, he is interested in the molecular mechanisms of chromatin dynamics in cancer. His research focuses on the functional role of the SETDB1 protein and its impact on heterochromatin dynamics and 3D genome organisation. Juwon aims to address these complex questions by integrating epigenetic assays and bioinformatic analyses. He looks forward to engaging with the scientific community to further explore these insights.
