Howard Jiang (蒋国豪)
School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University
Howard is a first-year PhD student in Professor Nian Liu’s laboratory at the School of Life Sciences, Tsinghua University. His research focuses on understanding the functional roles of non-coding regulatory elements in the genome and their implications for human diseases. By integrating computational and experimental approaches, Howard aims to uncover how these elements contribute to gene regulation and disease pathogenesis. Before joining Tsinghua, he earned his bachelor’s degree from China Pharmaceutical University, where he established a solid foundation in molecular biology and genomics. Howard is particularly interested in exploring the interplay between epigenetic modifications, chromatin architecture, and disease-associated genetic variants. Ultimately, he hopes his work will provide insights into novel therapeutic strategies for genetic disorders.
