Guangnan a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on neural and glial dynamics underlying animal behavior and cognition. During his pre-doctoral training at HKUST, he gained comprehensive experience across diverse disciplines, including genetics, molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, developmental biology, evolutionary biology, and synthetic biology. With this broad scientific foundation, he continued to self-educate and stay current with advancements in sequencing technologies, omics, optics, computational methods, and AI tools. It is his aim to build a versatile knowledge base that addresses fundamental and complex biological questions through multidisciplinary approaches and collaborative efforts.
