For Fan is a postdoctoral fellow at The University of Hong Kong, working within Professor Jack Wong's research team. His lab is dedicated to exploring the mechanisms of epigenetic alterations in liver cancer and developing targeted epigenetic therapies for patients. For Fan's PhD research focused on the regulation of transposable elements by epigenetic modifiers in liver cancer, during which he identified a novel chromatin regulator that suppresses transposable element expression. Following his graduation, For Fan has expanded his research interests to include RNA regulation of transposable elements. He is currently investigating how cancer cells evade immune responses by concealing transposable element RNA using specific RNA regulators.
