David Liu (廖國儒)

David is a PhD research student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he previously earned a BSc in Biotechnology and a BBA in General Business Management in 2019. His academic journey has been shaped by his experiences in the Leung Lab, where he completed his Final Year Project and MPhil. David's research interests lie primarily in cancer biology and the non-coding genome. Currently, he is investigating the regulatory role of retrotransposons in glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), a particularly aggressive form of cancer. His work aims to enhance understanding of the potential involvement of transposable elements in cancer development.
