This summer course will cover both fundamental topics and advanced problems in the field of ultracold atom physics, including Ano-Feshbach and Efimov resonances, topological matters, non-equilibrium physics, strongly correlated systems, among the others. We believe that these topics will help students and junior researchers from Hong Kong and aboard to quickly get to the current frontier of ultracold atom physics and related fields. We will use lectures, after-lecture discussions, student presentations, a poster session, and lab visits to enable close and efficient interactions between lecturers and students.
What you'll study
We have gathered six overseas lecturers from renowned international institutes including Standford University, University of Chicago, Rice University, The Ohio State University, Ecole Normale Superieure, and Purdue University. Among these experts, there are two members of American Academy of Arts and Sciences. We will also have four local researchers to give lecturers and/or host lab visits so as to prompt interactions between the ultracold atom community in Hong Kong and their international colleagues.
