I am Zhulin Chen. I am a first-year PhD student at HKU and my research interest is in cancer immunology. My undergraduate study mainly focused on studying basic biology and immunology and I learned how diverse the immune system is. I would like to learn more about it and its application in my future study. In my MSc study, I learned how to apply the knowledge of immunology to the field of cancer treatment. I would like to learn more about how to optimise current immunotherapy for cancer treatment. For instance, how to coordinate innate immunity and adaptive immunity to increase treatment efficacy against cancer, what are the strategies to sensitise patients to immunotherapy, and how to translate the work in lab to benefit patients.
