Jason Liang (梁宇腾)

Jason Liang is an undergraduate student studying Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences and also a Biomed-MBBS articulation student at HKUMED, envisions a future as a clinician-scientist. Motivated by his interest in cancer immunology and autoimmune diseases, he has honed his research skills through significant projects, including analysing CD8+ T cells in hepatocellular carcinoma under Professor Heidi Ling via scRNA-seq and investigating nasopharyngeal carcinoma's tertiary lymphoid structures with Guan Xinyuan by using spatial transcriptomics. His work with Guan garnered third place at the 8th Hong Kong University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Recognised for his academic excellence and dedication to social service, Jason has also been awarded the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club Undergraduate Scholarship, highlighting his future potential.
