Valerie Chiang (姜穎彤)
Queen Mary Hospital
I am a resident trainee in the Division of Clinical Immunology, Department of Pathology at Queen Mary Hospital. I have a special interest in adult-onset immunodeficiencies, such as acquired autoantibodies to various cytokines, and Goods syndrome. As an immunopathologist, I enjoy diagnosing and managing diseases from a bench-to-bedside approach. I specialise in using various laboratory methods to monitor functional status of autoantibodies to IFNg, in particular with pSTAT1 neutralisation. In addition, I participate in genetic diagnosis (by NGS on WES/ gene panels) as well as genetic counselling for patients presenting with suspected immunodeficiencies.
