Junliang Sun
Principal Investigator, Inorganic Solid State Materials Chemistry Research Group
Junliang Sun obtained his bachelor's and PhD degrees from Peking University in 2001 and 2006, respectively. From 2006 to 2007, he worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University. From 2007 to 2008, he was employed as a postdoctoral fellow at Stockholm University in Sweden and then served as an assistant professor for the next three years. In 2012, he moved back to the College of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Peking University. Now, he is the Principal Investigator of the Inorganic Solid State Materials Chemistry Research Group, General Secretary of the Chinese Crystallographic Society, Vice President of the Chinese Crystallographic Society, and has authored more than 100 publications, including world-class journals. He has received the Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars award, the Young Scientist Award of CZC in 2017, and the Foresight Fundamental Research Award from Sinopec in 2018, among others. His main research interests include the synthesis and application of porous materials; method development for structure characterisation; and the synthesis and application of inorganic dense materials.
