Enhui Han's research focuses on high-performance sodium/lithium-ion batteries, including high-energy-density cathode materials, halide solid-state batteries, and their interfacial properties. The team has utilised X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy (XAS) at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility (SSRF) - specifically beamlines BL08UA01, BL11B, BL14W, and BL02B02 - to elucidate charge balance and local structural changes in Li-rich layered and NASICON-type cathodes. This work has been published in journals such as Advanced Energy Materials, Chemistry of Materials, and Chemical Engineering Journal. Recently, she developed in-house in situ X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Pair Distribution Function (PDF) analyses to investigate short and long-range crystal structures in electrodes and electrolytes. Combining these techniques, she aim to unravel electron transfer mechanisms and dynamic structural evolution during electrochemical processes, offering new insights into energy storage development.
