Celine Beck
University of Glasgow
I'm a first year PhD student in the Materials and Condensed Matter Physics group at the University of Glasgow. The research expertise in the group lies in nanocharacterisation of functional materials with a focus on transmission electron microscopy. My research focuses on the synthesis and characterisation of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) for use as barocaloric refrigerants. Part of my PhD study is also spent at Diamond Light Source, where I am building a pressure cell for variable temperature and pressure synchrotron powder diffraction at the I11 beamline.
