Sakiko Oyama
Associate Professor at University of Texas at San Antonio
Sakiko Oyama received her PhD in human movement science from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is currently an associate professor with the Department of Kinesiology, Health, and Nutrition at University of Texas at San Antonio. She has contributed to over 30 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as the American Journal of Sports Medicine, the Journal of Athletic Training, and the Clinical Journal of Biomechanics. Her main research interests include the prevention and rehabilitation of shoulder and elbow injuries in youth and adolescent baseball pitchers through the identification of biomechanical risk factors.
