Patrick Yung is a globally recognised leader in orthopaedic sports medicine. He currently holds several prominent positions, including Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Assistant Dean of Alumni Affairs of the Faculty of Medicine of CUHK, and President of various local and international organisations focused on orthopaedics, sports medicine, and arthroscopy surgery.

He has made significant contributions to the field through his research, with over a hundred scientific papers published in international journals. Professor Yung is also dedicated to education, having trained over 700 medical professionals in sports medicine and conducted numerous training courses. Additionally, he is actively involved in delivering medical services to amateur and professional sports communities in Hong Kong, other parts of China, and internationally.
