Shandong Sport University
Gabrielle (Xiaoxue) Zhu is from Tai'an City, Shandong Province, China. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Rehabilitation Therapy from the Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Sports Rehabilitation at the Shandong Sport University. Gabrielle has completed one English-language paper accepted for publication and a Chinese-language paper undergoing revision focusing on chronic ankle instability (CAI) and ankle sprains. In her recent research, Gabrielle discovered that increasing the toe-out angle during drop-landing tests for individuals with CAI reduces the maximum ankle inversion angle upon landing. To analyse ligament strains, she constructed a three-dimensional rigid-body foot model using finite element analysis.
