Salvador Song (宋漢燾)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Salvador Song graduated from the rehabilitation therapy programme at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NJUCM) in 2020. When he realized that many students lacked basic knowledge of sports injuries, he set up NJUCM's sports rehabilitation centre in collaboration with his professors and friends to treat sports injuries. In 2021, Salvador joined Wang Chuan's Motion Rehab clinic in Tianjin as an intern sports physical therapist. That year, he helped many patients with ACL reconstructions, ankle sprains, and neck pain. Salvador gradually realised that traditional assessments that rely on a therapist's experience are not accurate enough for therapy, solidifying his belief that modern technology plays an important role in future clinical prescriptions. Guided by this belief, Salvador pursued his master's degree in biomedical engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2022.
