Alex Redhead is a MEng Bioengineering student at Loughborough University, with a passion for sports, fitness, and adventure. Growing up, his involvement in Scouts and a variety of different sports from a young age was key to making him the person he is today. When Alex first joined Loughborough in 2020, he aspired to work in the Paralympic technology field, helping athletes to maximise performance and achieve their full potential through the design of prosthetic devices and sports equipment. However, through his years of study, Alex realised his real interest lay beyond engineering and in helping others — whether that involved treating neurological diseases, maintaining and improving the physical performance of the body or designing innovative Paralympic equipment.
