Xiaoci Hong (洪孝慈)

Xiaoci is a third-year PhD student specialising in therapeutic development against emerging viral pathogens. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Science and Food Science from McGill University and a master’s in Applied Bioscience and Biotechnology from Imperial College London. Her research focuses on human interactions with known and emerging pathogens, driven by habitat changes and viral evolution. Xiaoci is passionate about exploring countermeasures to improve human health and advancing her knowledge in virology through global collaboration and cutting-edge technologies.
