Zongyuan Wang is working in the fields of topological phases of matter and quantum information. Recent interests are on using generalised, higher form, and categorical symmetry ideas for quantum computation and quantum metrology. Previously worked on (1) non-abelian fractons and classification of all type-I fracton orders, (2) quantum cellular automata and invertible subalgebras, (3) error-corrected quantum metrology.
