Learn how generalised symmetries and the holographic principle are transforming our understanding of quantum phase transitions, from topological classification frameworks to critical behaviour in non-equilibrium and open quantum systems.
This course provides advanced training in generalised symmetries and the holographic principle in the study of quantum phase transitions. It introduces key mathematical tools (including category theory) used to classify topological phases and examines quantum critical behaviour in non-equilibrium and open quantum systems.
