Chen Bai (柏辰)
Kavli Institute for Theoretical Sciences
Chen Bai is a fourth-year PhD student in the high-energy theory (hep-th) community. His current research focuses on entanglement entropy in two-dimensional conformal field theories (CFTs), specifically its application to inhomogeneous quenches. Additionally, he is working on a symmetry bootstrap program: by using the microscopic data of a subgroup alongside spectral correlations, they can extract the algebraic structures of underlying hidden symmetries. While this method currently succeeds for finite and compact Lie groups, its extension to generalised symmetries remains an open question. Therefore, he hopes to systematically learn about generalised symmetries through this course to advance this line of research.
