Xiaolei Xu is a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester. He is the director of the Zebrafish Genetics Lab at Mayo Clinic since 2003 and a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology since 2018. The overall goals of his program are to generate adult zebrafish models of human cardiac diseases, to decipher underlying mechanisms, and to develop mechanism-based therapies.
