Angus Tsang (曾嘉濠)
Chinese University of Hong Kong
Angus Tsang is a third-year undergraduate student in Biomedical Sciences at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). Over the past two years, he has worked as a student assistant in Professor Tian’s laboratory, gaining hands-on experience in vascular biology research. His work centres on the regulation of stress signalling and mitochondrial dynamics mediated by the endothelial transcription factor KLF2. During his first-year summer research attachment, Angus received the Bronze Award for Best Presentation and Best Poster, which further fuelled his pursuit of academic excellence. Beyond the laboratory, he serves as director of the medical research department of the Hong Kong Medical Genetics and Genomics Student Society (HKMGGSS), an organisation committed to supporting rare disease patient groups and facilitating dialogue with genetic scientists. Angus is deeply fascinated by vascular biology and its relevance to ageing and disease, and he is actively preparing for future postgraduate studies in biomedical research.
