Associate Professor Chen's major research interests are in the development of HIV-1-based vaccines for China and of a relevant animal model for vaccine testing and pathogenesis studies. His current focus is on the generation and characterization of a multivalent SIV and HIV vaccine using a live modified vaccinia Tiantan (MVTT) strain.
