Neutron scattering science

Exploring neutron scattering to enhance understanding of material properties and dynamics across scientific fields.

The joint laboratory aimed investigate the problems on neutron scattering science and technology. Neutron scattering is a powerful technique for characterising the structure and dynamics of materials, impacting fields like physics, chemistry, biology, and materials engineering. It is crucial to understand phenomena such as the interplay between spin fluctuations and superconductivity in high-temperature superconductors. With their unique energy scales, cold neutrons effectively probed dynamic processes in soft matter, leading to applications in consumer products, photovoltaic materials, and drug delivery systems.
