Zhongzhi Xianyu is an associate professor of physics at Tsinghua University, where he investigates the deep connections between particle physics, cosmology, and astrophysics. He earned his PhD in physics from Tsinghua in 2015 and subsequently held a postdoctoral appointment at Harvard University from 2015 to 2020. Professor Xianyu’s research spans cosmological collider physics, quantum field theory in de Sitter space, gravitational-wave astronomy, and the search for new physics with compact binary systems. By bridging the physics of the smallest particles and the largest cosmic structures, he seeks to uncover signals of fundamental phenomena imprinted across the Universe. Renowned for his breadth of curiosity, he maintains active interests in a wide array of theoretical and observational problems in modern physics.
