Sebastian Garcia-Saenz received his PhD degree from Columbia University (USA) in 2016. He held postdoctoral positions at the Institute of Astrophysics of the CNRS (France) and at Imperial College London (UK) before joining the Southern University of Science and Technology (China) as assistant professor. Dr Garcia-Saenz is a theoretical cosmologist whose research covers a wide range of topics in early-universe physics, gravitation, particle astrophysics and high-energy physics. He is particularly interested in developing new approaches to the dark energy problem as well as new paradigms of cosmic inflation.
