Liyang Miao is currently a third-year PhD student at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), under the supervision of Tao Liu. He obtained his bachelor's degree at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2023, and has been pursuing a PhD degree since. Liyang's research interest lies in particle physics and cosmology. Specifically, his current research topics focus on detecting anomalies in gravitational waves using machine learning techniques, and the polarimetry search for the chirality of gravitational waves.
