Joao Lucio dos Santos is an associate professor C - Level I at the Federal University of Campina Grande (Campina Grande Campus), and a permanent member of the doctoral programs in Physics and in Mathematical Physics at UFCG. He holds a PhD in Particles and Fields Theory from the Federal University of Paraíba (João Pessoa Campus) in 2013, with a seven-month PhD period at the University of Rochester, a Master of Science in Particles and Fields Theory and a Bachelor of Physics from São Paulo State University (Guaratinguetá Campus). After his PhD he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Federal University of Paraíba (João Pessoa Campus) in 2014. Joao served as coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Physics at UFCG (2018–2022, 2024–2025) and is currently a CAPES Humboldt Fellow at Leibniz University Hannover and the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
