Yiming Zhong
Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, City University of Hong Kong

Professor Yiming Zhong earned his BSc from Nankai University, followed by an MSc from the University of Waterloo and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics. He received his PhD from Stony Brook University's C.N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics in 2016. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral associate at Boston University (2016–2019) and as a KICP Fellow at the Kavli Institute for Cosmological Physics, University of Chicago (2019–2023). Since 2023, he has served as an assistant professor at the City University of Hong Kong. His research explores the intersection of theoretical particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology. Zhong was awarded the KICP Fellowship in 2019 and the NSFC Excellent Young Scientists Fund (Overseas) in 2022 (declined). He was the Chinese translator of the popular science books "Time Reborn" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told—So Far".
