Yongchang Zhang
Professor of Department of Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology, Central South University

Yongchang Zhang is currently the Deputy Director of the Department of Pulmonary and Gastrointestinal Oncology at the Cancer Hospital of Xiangya, Central South University, and the Hunan Provincial Cancer Hospital. He is also the Deputy Director of the Hunan Provincial Respiratory Oncology Clinical Research Center. Yongchang Zhang holds several key positions, including member of the Oncology Respiratory Disease Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, member of the Precision Oncology Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, Chair of the Youth Committee of the Oncology Precision Medicine Branch of the Hunan Anti-Cancer Association, and Vice-Chair of the Youth Committee of the Oncology Department of the Hunan Medical Association. In 2022, he received the Excellent Young Scientist Fund in Oncology from the National Natural Science Foundation. He has been recognised as a leading talent in Hunan Province’s scientific innovation, selected as a "Hunan Youth Talent" by the Provincial Organisation Department. Yongchang Zhang has published research on targeted therapies and immune resistance in lung cancer in high-impact journals like J Thorac Oncol, J Natl Cancer Inst., Lancet Oncol., and others.
