Wang Jia is a chief physician and doctoral supervisor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Beijing Tiantan Hospital, where he currently serves as deputy party secretary and holds the position of editor-in-chief for the Chinese Journal of Neurosurgery. He holds several prominent leadership roles including secretary-general of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association Neurosurgical Branch, vice chairman of the Neurosurgery Committee of the China International Exchange and Promotive Association for Medical and Health Care, and secretary-general of the World Chinese Neurosurgical Association. With a distinguished career in neurosurgery since 1994, Jia has developed particular expertise in treating nervous system tumours, especially acoustic neuromas, pituitary adenomas, and skull base meningiomas, establishing himself as one of the leading figures in neuro-oncology at Tiantan Hospital. His academic achievements include selection for the Beijing Science and Technology New Star Program in 2003, a visiting scholarship at Barrow Neurological Institute in the United States in 2009, brain tumour research at Cardiff University's Surgical Oncology Institute in the United Kingdom in 2013, inclusion in Beijing's Ten-Thousand-Talent Program in 2014, recognition as a leading talent in Beijing's High-Level Talent Development Plan in 2015, and receipt of the prestigious Capital Labor Medal in 2016.
