Yu Cheng (鄭諭)
University of Hong Kong
Yu Cheng is a final-year PhD student at the University of Hong Kong, working under the supervision of Professor Jack Wong. Professor Wong’s lab focuses on investigating epigenetic and epitranscriptomic alterations in hepatocellular carcinoma. Yu's PhD research centers on an abundant RNA modification, pseudouridine, in which he employs a multi-omics strategy to characterise the landscape of pseudouridine in hepatocellular carcinoma and investigate its functions in regulating RNA fate. Enthusiastic about RNA modifications, Yu has also participated in studies of other modifications, such as m6A. He envisions that a deeper understanding in RNA modifications would promote the development of novel strategies for diagnosing and treating cancers.
