For Fan Chan (陳科凡)
University of Hong Kong
For Fan Chan obtained his PhD degree from the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where he focused on the development of targeted epigenetic therapies for liver cancer. His doctoral research primarily centered on chromatin alterations associated with cancer malignancy and immune therapy.
Following graduation, he expanded his research interests to include epitranscriptomic modifications in cancer development. Currently, his work involves elucidating the comprehensive landscape of RNA modifications in cancer progression using cutting-edge sequencing technologies. The study of RNA modification landscapes represents an important regulatory layer in gene expression within cancer cells and holds significant potential as a therapeutic target, prognostic biomarker, and tool with substantial clinical utility.
