Qidong Li is currently a final-year PhD student at the University of Hong Kong in the Department of Pathology, under the supervision of Professor Jack Wong. His research focuses on the epigenetics and chromatin structure of hepatocellular carcinoma. His interests encompass transdifferentiation during liver regeneration, dedifferentiation in liver cancer development, epigenetics, 3D genomics, chromatin biology, single-cell multiomics, and spatial multiomics.
Under Professor Wong's guidance, Qidong is receiving dual training in both wet and dry lab techniques. He aspires to become a genomics researcher, aiming to contribute to the clinical translation of genomic medicine, particularly in the context of single-cell and spatial omics advancements.
