Zhouyurong Tan
Centre for Translational Stem Cell Biology
Zhouyurong Tan earned her PhD in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), where she published seven papers focusing on molecular pathways, hormonal and non-hormonal pharmaceuticals, and natural products. During her doctoral studies, she was a visiting PhD student at the Institute of In-vivo und In-vitro Models at Veterinärmedizinische Universität Wien as a recipient of the Ernst Mach Grant. Under the guidance of Professor Thomas Kolbe and Professor Auke Boersma, she researched embryo transfer technologies to advance animal welfare and develop novel reproductive techniques. Currently, as a postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Translational Stem Cell Biology (CTSCB), Zhouyurong focuses on establishing hybrid organoids integrating the cardiac and immune systems to elucidate physiological and pathological mechanisms while providing a robust platform for drug screening and testing.
