Yunying Huang
University of Hong Kong
Yunying Huang conducted her doctoral studies at University of Hong Kong (HKU), focusing on stem cells and development, specifically the functions of p53 in human trophoblast lineage commitment. Her dissertation, titled “TP53 is required for trophoblast lineage development from human expanded potential stem cells,” explored p53's role in human trophoblast development. Yunying's research interests lie in chromatin state and epigenetics in development and human cancers, investigating how distinct chromatin remodeling drives tumor heterogeneity and cellular plasticity. Ultimately, she aims to uncover how epigenetic programs contribute to cancer initiation and progression to inform the development of novel therapeutic strategies.
